Creating songs and choosing albums
How personalized can a custom song be?
As personal as your family’s imagination. You can create a custom song in three ways. Start from your own idea when you want full creative freedom; choose a moment when you want the song to fit a specific occasion, routine, gift, or family memory; or choose a theme when you want help shaping the song around something your family wants to celebrate, practice, or talk about. In each path, you can add the name, people, details, and message you want the song to carry. For example, Alonso has turned himself into a pirate sailing the sea, Bichir into a friend flying through the sky on his dragon, Isabella into a K-pop singer, and even a silly family song about who tooted and blamed Jack, our Bernese Mountain Dog.
How personalized are the albums?
Albums are designed by Happy Songs around your child’s age and stage, the themes they may be navigating, and the moments your family is in. Each album features your child’s name, but the songs, themes, and structure are already created so your family can start listening right away.
Can I choose the music style?
Yes. For custom songs, you can tell Happy Songs what you want the song to sound like, shape the style with the chat, or choose from styles available in the app. The style library includes options like cinematic anthems, dance, pop, rock, acoustic ballads, lo-fi hip-hop, bossa nova, cumbia, soft reggaeton, and lullabies, plus local styles in certain countries — like country in the US or mariachi in Mexico. Available styles may vary by country and language.
How are the album topics chosen?
We draw on child-development research, trusted parenting resources, and the everyday experiences families navigate. These perspectives help us choose themes such as emotional connection, routines, resilience, friendship, values, money, and more. We then turn those themes into age-appropriate songs designed to support your child through each stage of development: music they can understand, remember, and enjoy.
If I have more than one child, will they hear the same songs?
No. Each of your children will have their own version with their own name. Albums may share the same theme and structure, but each child gets the version made with their own name.
Where do my songs live, and can I listen without internet?
Your songs live inside your Happy Songs account, together with your personalized albums, gifts, and family settings. After a song is ready, you can play it without internet. You only need internet to create a new song, add an album, or start listening on a new device for the first time. We designed it this way so your family can keep listening on a road trip, on a plane, or anywhere the signal disappears.
Are the songs created with AI?
Yes. Happy Songs uses multiple AI providers, proprietary prompts, and our own technology to turn your family’s details into personalized songs, lyrics, and cover art — all inside a simple, easy-to-use experience.
Account and customer service
Can both parents use the same account?
Yes. Parents and grandparents can share access to one family account, so your songs, albums, gifts, and settings stay together. Shared access is included in select memberships.
How does shared access work?
The main account holder invites a parent or grandparent by phone number or access code. Once they join, they can access the same family account according to the membership.
What if I have a problem or want to share feedback?
Email us at support@happysongs.ai. Happy Songs is built by a family, so your message will be read by real people who care about the experience. It may take us a little time to reply, but if something went wrong, we’ll work to fix it — and when we fall short, we’ll try to make it right.
Plans and gifts
Can I create a song for free?
Yes. You can create your first song for free, so your family can hear what Happy Songs feels like before choosing a membership or song pack.
Do I need a membership?
Yes. Happy Songs has three monthly memberships. Each one includes songs, albums, gifts, and family features. If your family is always coming up with new ideas, you can create more by buying extras individually or moving to a higher membership. The higher the membership, the better the price per song and album.
Are songs I send as gifts included in my membership?
Yes. Each membership includes a set number of gift songs every month. If you need more, you can buy extra gifts individually or move to a higher membership.
Family Entrepreneurs
How much can a family earn?
It depends on the family, their network, and how consistently they share Happy Songs. You earn the same flat reward for each family that joins and stays subscribed through you—month after month, for as long as they remain members and the program is available—so the more families you share with and who stay, the more it can build. A family that shares casually earns less than one that shares consistently within its school or parent communities, and a creator or family with an existing audience has room to build more. We don’t promise any particular amount, the program can change or end at any time, results vary, and nothing is guaranteed. See the Referral Program Terms.
Who receives the money, and when is it paid?
Rewards are paid to the adult account holder and deposited to the account holder’s bank account where supported by our payout provider. Timing depends on the program rules: the invited family must become a paying member, the reward must become eligible, and any payout requirements must be completed.
Can rewards continue month after month?
Yes. When an invited family becomes a paying member and stays subscribed, the reward can keep going month after month. It is different from a one-time thank-you, and it helps families see how recurring rewards can grow over time.
Do I need an active membership to receive payouts?
Yes. To receive payouts, the adult account holder must have an active paid membership when the payout is processed. This does not change the reward rate; it is an eligibility requirement for receiving rewards.
When is a reward paid?
A reward is paid when the program requirements are met: the invited family becomes and remains a paying member, your family reaches the goal, the adult account holder is eligible to receive payouts, and the payout information is complete and supported. If those requirements are not met, the reward may not be paid.
